Summer Holiday Wardobe Ideas

 Heyyy guys,
Today's post is a selection of items I have my eye on for my Summer Holiday wardrobe. I am heading off on a camping trip around France with the Mr so the outfits will be mostly based towards sunshine, comfort, outdoor activities, and balmy summer evenings out by the lake....ahhh.. Can you tell I can't wait till my holiday?
Let's get cracking:

My first outfit is what I imagine strolling around a little french town in the sunshine in.. I have been dreaming of this Mod Dolly co-ord ever since I saw it in their Summer lookbook - it's a 60's themed pattern and I am head over heels! The best thing about a printed co-ord is you can put it together and look 'put together' instantly but also you can pair the shorts with a plain white tee or the top with jeans - perfect for a versatile camping wardrobe!!

Next up, this outfit seems perfect for a casual bike ride around town, though perhaps not a mountain biking excursion hah! I love skorts for bike rides, you can look girly but maintain your dignity! The flowy white crop top is a blast from the past, I'm sure I had one just like the in the 90's but I think it makes this look like an outfit Baby from Dirty Dancing would wear for a bike ride.

| BIKINI - TOPSHOP | SUNGLASSES - TOPSHOP |

This outfit is pretty self explanatory, a lovely bikini from topshop.. I prefer the high waisted bikini bottoms as I find them more flattering on the ol' belly, plus anything that reminds me of the 1950's is mighty fine with me! Of course I would top it off with these heart shaped specs!! Why not eh?

Last but not least, an outfit for the chilly evenings by the lake, this jumper is just SCREAMING for me to buy it as I am a huge beyonce fan haha. The Mom shorts & silver birkenstock dupes are a little marmite but I think this outfit is really cute :)

WELL, that's all for now folks, which outfit is your favourite? Where are you off too on holiday this summer?

LOVEEEEE

Insta - Catch up! Summer 2013

It's over, Summer 2013 is fizzling away with a few extra minutes of darkness lingering in the mornings and the breeze bringing an altogether quite refreshing chill to the air..so we say goodbye to Summer 2013, Nice knowin' ya.

Hard rock calling was amazing , we watched Bruce, drank cider and left a little bit sunburnt but a lot happy :)
(sunglasses - Camden market, cardigan - Primark)

I loved spending days with my lovely girlfriends this summer, dancing at random street parties, drawing huge chalk whales on walls, having entirely pink parties and drinking way too much tequila.

I said goodbye to my beautiful big sister Aimee as she went off to live in Kenya, it was pretty emosh but it also made the Summer really special as we did lots of lovely things together!

I spent the summer working at tsesay in Chelsea, Kings Road and got some lovely uniform pieces - including this gorge bright orange dress. LOVE.
(dress- tsesay, necklace, sandals and bracelet - Primark, belt -Asos)

I particularly enjoyed spending my days off with the Mr, meandering through our new area -  East London - eating delicious food and buying lovely little things for our new flat!

One of those things was a box of chilli lights. I was a bit too excited about the chilli lights...

I went to a few fairs this summer too :) One of my favourite Summer pastimes, I love me some
Candy floss!
(top and shorts - h&m, headband - poundland, sunglasses - Camden market, sandals - Primark)

This is a set of pics from the Mr and I's staycation in Dorset! Bliss!:

(dress - miss selfridge, backpack - primark, sunnys - Camden Market)

(fishin' for Mackerel!)

On my Birthday I went for dinner and milkshakes with a few of my favourite people

More candy floss!
(Shirt,socks and trousers all Primark!)

Last of all - I GOT A TATTOO!!!!!! do you like it? YAY!
(got my tattoo done at Happy Sailor in Shoreditch :) )

That's all for now folks! What were your favourite Summer moments? Do you have a tattoo?

Moroccan Holiday Part 2
This post is a bit long! Be warned!

Oh Hi! I'm back from Morocco and I had an absolutely amazing time and I thought I would share my holiday outfit choices with you guys! How fun!

I did have to cover up a bit when I was walking around but I didn't want to dress dowdily

So.. here's what I chose to wear on the second half of my holiday..hope you enjoy!
(press the pics to make 'em bigger)

Outfit One:
Black leotard - American Apparel
Peach midi skirt - ASOS
White belt - Charty shop
Black lace bandeau - River Island

I wear this black leotard all the time in the winter as a staple piece but this was a great way to bring it into my summer wardrobe! I really like it with this bright peach skirt, it made a nice evening outfit. The back of the leotard is really low so I had to put a little lace bandeau underneath!

Outfit Two:
Coral Shirt - River Island
Brown Jersey Maxi - River Island
Black skinny belt - Topshop

I wore this jersey maxi quite a lot while I was away because I felt the colour really worked! I like it with this coral top, I never would have put these two together normally but when I tried this I liked the palette, tres cute!

Outfit Three:
Brown jersey maxi skirt/dress - River Island
Brown and Gold belt- Topshop
Gold necklace - Tophop/diy
Black flatforms - River Island

Here's an evening outfit I put together to go for drinks with some friends while we were there. I decided to wear my maxi skirt as a dress, which is a great way to get more use out of one! I simply chucked a brown and gold belt round the middle and wore a chunky gold necklace and I thought it ended up as a pretty cute outfit! This is defo one of my fav outfits of the trip!

Outfit Four:
White vest - H&M
White bandeau - River Island
Peach silk skirt - Charity shop
Grey belt - Charity shop

Lastly I wore this outfit which I thought was really cute! I wore my peach silk midi from a charity shop and muy plain jersey vest, I put a little white bandeau underneath and it turned out pretty nicely! I really like the lighter colour palette in this outfit :)

Hope you're all well!

Moroccan Holiday- Part One!

This post is a bit long! Be warned!

Oh Hi! I'm back from Morocco and I had an absolutely amazing time and I thought I would share my holiday outfit choices with you guys! How fun!

I did have to cover up a bit when I was walking around but I didn't want to dress dowdily (is dowdily a word? I don't think so.. it's not coming up on spell check so.. Well it is now)

So.. here's what I chose to wear on the first half of my holiday..hope you enjoy!
(press the pics to make 'em bigger)

Outfit One-
Black tank top - h&m
Peach silk skirt - Charity Shop
Pastel scarf - Market
Necklace - Topshop

This was an evening outfit in Essaouira I wore this peach silk skirt I bought in a charity shop a week before for  around £3-£4 (bargain) I paired it with a simple vest top and the pastel scarf I bought in the markets of Marrakesh

I also wore it with this necklace - I bought this at topshop and it had lots of gold dangley bits hanging off it but I decided I didn't like them anymore so I broke them all off! ..I like it now!)

Outfit Two -
Peach Jersey shirt - River Island
Floral trousers - Primark
Blue plimsoles - Primark
Brown belt - River Island
Sunnies - Beyond Retro

This is an outfit I wore to walk around the Souks in Marrakesh.. I love these flower print cotton trousers I bought from Primark those paired with the blue plimsoles I'm wearing were some of my star holiday shopping buys!

Outfit Three-
Nude jersey long sleeve top - Topshop
Peach silk skirt - Charity shop
White/Grey reversible belt - Charity Shop
Sunglasses - Beyond Retro
Hand of fatima earrings - Essaouira Souk

This is another outfit from Essaouira wearing the same peach skirt but this time with a long sleeve nude top for the  daytime, so that I could be a bit more covered up when I was walking around the Souks.

I wore it with this belt I bought in a charity shop that my boyfriend actually pointed out is reversible and I never realised before! I have always worn it the other way (as a grey belt) but I spent a lot of the holiday wearing it the white way and it felt like a whole new belt :) (it's the little things!)

Outfit Four -
Black and White stripe bikini - Primark
White chiffon Caftan - (Mum's wardrobe - I dunno, I can find out if you really want to know)
Sunnies- Beyond Retro

This is on the rooftop of our Riad in Essaouira where I was free to wear some more revealing - 'holiday-ish' clothes.

This is actually a sheer white Caftan my mum lent me for the trip! It looked super chic with my classic black and white striped bikini and new Russian Red lipstick by MAC, I am a happy bunny.

Outfit Five -
Peach jersey shirt -River Island
Turquoise cotton trousers - Primark
Polka dot flip flops - Primark
Sunnies - Beyond Retro

Another star buy here from Primark - these green/turquoise cotton trousers were fantastic on this holiday - they kept me cool but also covered up and also led to some much more colourful outfit choices from me too! I was glad to step of my pinky\nude or black\grey shell and into this coral and turquoise ensemble :) great for covering up on the beach too!

Look!.. It also looks good on a camel! :)

More to come!

The Rooftops of London

the chimneys on the roof!

my lookbook pic :http://lookbook.nu/look/3885198-The-Rooftops-of-London

full look and a pout.. why not?

This is just an Outfit Of The Day (ootd) post,

I spent the weekend at my brothers flat in East London and it has an amazing roof terrace where I sunbathed all day! I went to a few shops and stuff during the day so I wore this brown maxi but tied it to the side because it was so sunny! I just wore a bandeau as a top which meant no tan lines on my shoulders! I think you can get away with wearing just a bandeau as long as you are wearing something *very* high waisted and it's really hot! haha

anyway hope the sun is shining where you are!

Little Boxes

Round specs

Jewelry shot

Lookbook Pic

Hello!
I wore this outfit for a bbq this weekend. It's a really cute jumpsuit I got from a charity shop ages ago and haven't worn much but have fallen back in love with. Often clothes from charity shops can be a bit big so a tip from me is to roll the sleeves and legs up to a bit further then needed to make it look like it's meant to be like that! This jumpsuit was a bit baggy on the waist too but I just chucked a skinny belt round it and VOILA it works really well I think!

So as to make sure I don't look too 'Vintage'd up' I threw on some black and shiny gold accessories to toughen up the look and make it a bit more modern  :)

When I shop in Charity shops I tend to go in with an open mind, think what you could do with what they have.. It might be a really cute dress but its just a little long, or baggy.. little changes like cutting and re-sewing hems and darts don't take long and it means you have spent very little money on an item that you won't see anyone else in! I also like to buy studs and spikes that I can stud into old denim or clothes I've bought in charity shops.. you can buy the studs on ebay for pretty cheap and once again you've got an original piece in no time at all! It's totally worth it, so next time you are in a Charity shop think about the changes you could make to make something to make it extra special!

Nails did

I did some quick pastel coloured nail art the other day and thought I'd post it. This was so quick and easy and can be done with just a thin paint brush or even a toothpick!

Signed, Sealed, Delivered

Full outfit

cross back

rings from Topshop and bracelet from Kukee.co.uk

ear/hair piece - Kukee.co.uk

I'm wearing a maxi dress again! Surprise Surprise! I added a jersey tank top tied at the middle, keeping the outfit casual. However, the main reason for this outfit post is to show this amazing jewelry from Kukee.co.uk, I got two bangles - one gold one silver and they are amazing to just throw on with an outfit to make it look a bit more fashion-y and special, plus they are sooo shiny!
Best of all is this ear/hair cuff which has a comb piece on the end of the chains to put into your hair! It's so great because it makes a plain, boring bun into something cool and punky! I'm obsessed, plus they are selling similar ones on ASOS.com for much more money. I strongly recommend you have a look on Kukee.co.uk for cheap, fashion forward and amazing jewlery!

In Other News

I found these two LIFE magazine specials in a book shop in Golders Green the other day and I love them. They are full of amazing behind the scene and Iconic pictures of the two beautiful stars and make great coffee table books, plus I got them for £3.99 each! Bargain! :)
