✿ ❀ ❁ Vintage Inspired ✿ ❀ ❁

Hey guys, just a quick 'personal style' post for you! :)

This is what I wore the other day for a trip out shopping in the late Summer/ early Autumn sunshine! I thought the outfit was a little bit vintage looking hence my crafty cameo style photoshopping haha. The top is a little cropped t shirt style jumper from Topshop - it was a little bit pricey for what it is but I bought it with a gift card so I felt ok buying it because it is so pretty!! I think this thin knit in a t shirt cut looks so cute and 1950's style, I can't wait to wear it with a midi length a-line skirt now that its a bit chilly! I thought the crochet detail would really compliment this adorable lacy skirt I got for my birthday from my boyfriend's sister (thankyouuu!) I think it also has a nice vintage-y style to it and it reminds me of delicate petticoats *swoon* I added a pair of pearl earrings (again a gift, I'm such a lucky girl) to really top off the 50's look and trotted on my merry way :)

Top - topshop
Skirt - h&m (gift)
Shoes - Primark
Earrings - unknown (gift)

Now that the cold winds are really starting to blow in London I think this is definitely the last of my pasty white pins you shall have to suffer until next year (cheers from all!)

I am pretty excited to be piling on the layers and wearing Primark super cosy tights (have you tried these yet??!! SO COSY.. the packaging DOES NOT lie) and of course my (almost) favourite time of the year is approaching, Halloweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen!!! What are you going to be for Halloween? I was thinking of doing some costume idea posts, what do you think?

LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE

Insta - Catch up! Summer 2013

It's over, Summer 2013 is fizzling away with a few extra minutes of darkness lingering in the mornings and the breeze bringing an altogether quite refreshing chill to the air..so we say goodbye to Summer 2013, Nice knowin' ya.

Hard rock calling was amazing , we watched Bruce, drank cider and left a little bit sunburnt but a lot happy :)
(sunglasses - Camden market, cardigan - Primark)

I loved spending days with my lovely girlfriends this summer, dancing at random street parties, drawing huge chalk whales on walls, having entirely pink parties and drinking way too much tequila.

I said goodbye to my beautiful big sister Aimee as she went off to live in Kenya, it was pretty emosh but it also made the Summer really special as we did lots of lovely things together!

I spent the summer working at tsesay in Chelsea, Kings Road and got some lovely uniform pieces - including this gorge bright orange dress. LOVE.
(dress- tsesay, necklace, sandals and bracelet - Primark, belt -Asos)

I particularly enjoyed spending my days off with the Mr, meandering through our new area -  East London - eating delicious food and buying lovely little things for our new flat!

One of those things was a box of chilli lights. I was a bit too excited about the chilli lights...

I went to a few fairs this summer too :) One of my favourite Summer pastimes, I love me some
Candy floss!
(top and shorts - h&m, headband - poundland, sunglasses - Camden market, sandals - Primark)

This is a set of pics from the Mr and I's staycation in Dorset! Bliss!:

(dress - miss selfridge, backpack - primark, sunnys - Camden Market)

(fishin' for Mackerel!)

On my Birthday I went for dinner and milkshakes with a few of my favourite people

More candy floss!
(Shirt,socks and trousers all Primark!)

Last of all - I GOT A TATTOO!!!!!! do you like it? YAY!
(got my tattoo done at Happy Sailor in Shoreditch :) )

That's all for now folks! What were your favourite Summer moments? Do you have a tattoo?

Drop Waist Wonder

If there was ever a time to try out the drop waist, the Summer of 2013 has delivered it - with the release of The Great Gatsby and an influx of 20's fizz into the high and high-street fashion worlds!

This fit is not an easy one to master and I have chosen my favourite dresses from the high-street market to show you how I will be rocking this lower then low waistline!

Zara

I love this lacy Zara number, the midi length gives the drop waist lovely proportions and I think this outfit would make a lovely holiday look or at home casual look ( if its sunny where you are!)
All these pieces are also on sale right now - so snap them up quick!

ASOS & boohoo

This is a more casual way to wear the drop waist but just as pretty! I love the simplicity of the silhouette in this ASOS dress and the warm mustard colour just makes me swoon! For added perfection wear with a plum coloured floppy hat and buckled ankle boots, truly lovely!

(Boots & Hat - boohoo.com, Dress - ASOS)

The White Pepper & Topshop

The last way I would style a drop waist is with this adorable 'The White Pepper' lemon shirt dress, pair with on-trend white accessories from Topshop and you've got yourself a preppy outfit that would put Cher Horowitz  to shame. (google it)

That's all folks!
Hope you like my styling, How would you wear your drop waist piece and is there one you are eyeing up at the moment?
