A Summer Wedding

Hey guys,
I'm back from my Summer escapades and thought I'd kick things back off with a post about what I wore to my brother and his wife's Summer wedding! It was such a beautiful day and I'm glad I get to share it here with you!

For the wedding (I'm the first on the left if you're new) I wore a coral dress that I actually found in (shock of all shocks) M&S who have MASSIVELY stepped up their game lately! I chose to pair the dress with a statement sparkly necklace and a bejewelled clutch from Anthropologie. To keep it simple I finished my outfit off with a pair of low white heels from Next. I hope you like my outfit! :) These pictures show me and my siblings getting pouty for the camera!

I kept my makeup simple with NARS sheer glow foundation (perfect for days when you want perfect skin and you know there's going to be a  LOT of photos taken) shimmery eyeshadow and a nice coral lipstick (Costa Chic - MAC)..... This is me and the beautiful 'Mama darling' !

Will wore a rather dashing navy suit (also M&S) and a red tie!

We were pretty excited to find there was a photobooth and got a bit snap happy!!

I made a pinterest board full of ideas for what to wear to a summer wedding as a guest so you can see more here: http://www.pinterest.com/duskw/wedding-guest-outfit-ideas/

Well, that's all for now folks! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, there's a couple of  sunny holiday snaps to come so keep an eye out for those!

Judy's Vintage Furniture Flea

Hey Guys,

Yesterday (Sunday 6th July) I was lucky enough to have been invited to the Vintage Furniture Flea by www.judysvintagefair.co.uk. Will &I actually went to the flea last year and loved it so much! We picked some lovely things for our flat last time so we were happy for the chance to attend again this year. The flea is set in York Hall in Bethnal Green, the architecturally interesting setting makes a lovely backdrop for the stalls laden with mid century goodness waiting to be taken to new homes!

The fair is particularly fantastic for the prices! Nothing was ridiculously overpriced, as many vintage & antique fairs seem to be nowadays! It is such a pleasure to pick up a lovely 1960's print table cloth, dreading looking at the price tag, to see it costs a mere 12 pounds!! There were also a lot of gorgeous old maps that I wish we could fit in our flat and some amazing bits of furniture and knick knacks.

After spending rather a while ooh-ing & aah-ing over the wonderful treasures up for offer, Will & I managed to finally pick out our purchase of the day - this adorable drop leaf kitchen table! The table is now sitting pretty in our flat and as you will see I took extra pleasure in setting it out nicely for dinner that evening! :) We had been on the hunt for the perfect 50's style drop leaf table for quite some time so we were delighted to snap up this one!

My outfit for the day was this little vintage dress I picked up at the Beyond Retro Brick Lane Outlet store, once again a surprise bargain for only 8 pounds!! I am so pleased with it!

I couldn't recommend Judy's furniture flea more to someone who loves the retro look to homeware but can't afford the normal price tag! We ended the day by wolfing down some delicious slices of cake (I chose red velvet - how can one resist such a bounteous cake display??) and sipping on tea from dainty tea cups.. the perfect way to end a lovely day!

I hope you enjoyed this post, have you got any vintage fairs in London to recommend?

✿ ❀ ❁ Vintage Inspired ✿ ❀ ❁

Hey guys, just a quick 'personal style' post for you! :)

This is what I wore the other day for a trip out shopping in the late Summer/ early Autumn sunshine! I thought the outfit was a little bit vintage looking hence my crafty cameo style photoshopping haha. The top is a little cropped t shirt style jumper from Topshop - it was a little bit pricey for what it is but I bought it with a gift card so I felt ok buying it because it is so pretty!! I think this thin knit in a t shirt cut looks so cute and 1950's style, I can't wait to wear it with a midi length a-line skirt now that its a bit chilly! I thought the crochet detail would really compliment this adorable lacy skirt I got for my birthday from my boyfriend's sister (thankyouuu!) I think it also has a nice vintage-y style to it and it reminds me of delicate petticoats *swoon* I added a pair of pearl earrings (again a gift, I'm such a lucky girl) to really top off the 50's look and trotted on my merry way :)

Top - topshop
Skirt - h&m (gift)
Shoes - Primark
Earrings - unknown (gift)

Now that the cold winds are really starting to blow in London I think this is definitely the last of my pasty white pins you shall have to suffer until next year (cheers from all!)

I am pretty excited to be piling on the layers and wearing Primark super cosy tights (have you tried these yet??!! SO COSY.. the packaging DOES NOT lie) and of course my (almost) favourite time of the year is approaching, Halloweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen!!! What are you going to be for Halloween? I was thinking of doing some costume idea posts, what do you think?

Moonrise Kingdom

I've put together a little styling post based on the movie Moonrise Kingdom! I hope you like it!

Suzy Bishop

The first style is based on the main female character Suzy bishop - the film is full of beautiful mustard and red tones which gives it a wonderful 1960s feel. Suzy wears contrast collar shirt dresses with long white socks throughout the film - a girl after my own heart <3 nbsp="" p="">

Sam Shakusky

Sam is a scout and wears khaki green, mustard yellow, geek specs and a fur hat! What is not to love? I have made the outfit girl friendly clearly! haha..

That's all for fashion folks! Just a little addition I thought I would pop in here are these home deco extras from the movie that make me swoon!

If you haven't seen Moonrise Kingdom I would definitely recommend it - if only for the style and art direction
