A Selection of Outfits

Hey Guys,
Today's post is a selection of outfits I have worn over the last month or so. I have been edging towards warmer weather dressing but still haven't delved into the bare legs genre yet (It'll take more than 'slightly sunny' England is offering at the moment to get to that point methinks). However, I have been adding more pastel colours & lighter fabrics to the mix, which is very welcome..I am delighted to finally pack away the heavy knit jumpers and bulky winter coats till October!

 Suzy Bishop
I wore this dress as soon as it arrived, I was so pleased to receive it! It's the 'suzy' dress from vintagestyle.me and I think its ADORBALE. It's perfect for spring & so totally Suzy (Suzy Bishop from Mooonrise Kingdom - if you haven't seen it yet...just....just go watch it now ok?) And yes I do dress like I'm 12 occasionally..
Dress - Vintage Style Me
Tights & boots - Primark

YeeHa!
Next up is this gorgeous shirt/cardigan hybrid I picked up from Collectif in the sale. I love Collectif but find I can only really excuse buying clothes in there in the sale! This shirt is so perfectly cowgirl-esque and I have a little obsession with cowboys so it is my new favourite thing!

Shirt - Collectif
Jeans & brogues - Primark
Sunglasses - Anthropologie
Leather Jacket - Miss Selfridge

Florals for Spring - Groundbreaking
I got this vintage floral midi skirt at a vintage market in Dorset. It came as part of an 80's co-ord which is so diviiiiiiiiiiiine and I can't wait to wear the set when the sun comes out! But, for now I shall suffice styling the lovely flowy skirt with black accessories. Get ready to see a whole lot more of this skirt through the Spring & Summer!

Top, Shoes - Primark

60's Mini
This skirt was another bargain picked up (by my dear Mama) in the River Island sale... River Island is SOO hit or miss, sometimes I go in there and hate all the over the top patterned embellishment and sometimes I go in and lust after every last thing! Anyway, this skirt is like my 1960's DREAM, I have paired it with black again as the sun was yet to rear its head..however, I'm unsure my pins are nice enough to wear such a mini skirt without tights anyway!!
Keeping it Casual
Last of all is this 'casual' 'everyday' type outfit, I have this jersey drapey tee for uniform from work and its super cosy - it also has a zip up the back so it can be worn the other way around as a cardigan! What a dream! I've paired it with my normal black skinny jeans, black chelsea boots combo!

Pick Of The Co-Ords

Matching separates...
It's like marmite I think.. love or hate? For a long while I thought, wow.. I would look ridiculous in an all matching outfit,  you have to be very brave to get away with that! However, as part of an unspoken fashion resolution to try more daring things when it comes to trend choices, I would like to step into the pool of matching pieces which are popping up in highstreet shops. Other bloggers' got the hang of this look a long while ago, it's time I did the same!

So, with that in mind today's post is a choice of different matching separates from various online stores that I like! Let's give it a go shall we?.......
 Topshop
gingham is very in this season dontcha know? I really like this cropped top & trouser set from Topshop. I think it would be an easy way to pull off all over pattern.. I particularly like the idea of wearing it with red lips and killer heels for a night out look!

I just love this dark floral set from ASOS, it totally suits this transitional seasonal weather - (florals for Spring? Groundbreaking) - no but seriously - add tights and cardi when its cold & wear with nothing but brown leather sandals in the sunshine!
I found this look on pinterest and it set off my pastel thing massively! I think this looks like something a modern day Marie Antoinette would wear to chomp down cakes on a Sunday afternoon! Soooo cute.

 Asos
I think this is an easier way to pull of a Co-ord without being too obvious, dark denim looks good with black tights & leather as well as gorgeous summer golden skin. Can't go wrong!

The White Pepper
Again another floral set, this time from The White Pepper. I like the idea of wearing the skirt separately in a '1950's' style with white socks and pumps but also the set together is quite swishy and charming :)

That's all for now folks.. hope you liked this post! Are you into the Co-ords trend?

Primark Preview - Spring/Summer Shoes

Hey guyss,

Here's a little preview of my favourite picks from Spring Summer shoes that will be in Primark this year. There's some lovely shoes coming in! Now, I have been told before I have quite a different (ugly) taste in shoes!! I like my shoes either chunky, buckled and cool OR sleek 90's heels OR pastel themed prettyness.. therefore some shoes in the post may bit a bit Marmite (loveitorhateit) either way I love seeing what's in Primark stores so here you go:

1) The first pair are a pair of Mary Jane pumps, they are adorable and very similar to a pair I have loved from Topshop - perfect with a pair of white frilly sock and a sun dress!
2) The second are a really cool buckled pair of brogue style shoes - I really like these, they look almost vintage-esque - really different for Primark!
3)The third pair are a dupe for the Dr.Martins, I have a dupe from Boohoo in white that I love, I'd love to get this black pair too.

1)First is a very 90s style heel, I love the simple black strap and buckle. I would prefer if the buckle was silver or black but either way for the price these are gorgeous.
2) The second pair is a lovely peep toe boot with a buckle as well - I've been eyeing up a peep toe boot from ASOS which is very similar.. I like the chunky heel too:).
3) Lastly is a VERY MARMITE pair of chunky sandals, I have a couple of friends who would cringe massively at the sight of these chunky, Gothic beauties - (you know who you are) - I, however, love them!! I think they would look so cool in contrast with a floral summer dress or with a pair of disco pants on a night out...I knoooow.. they're hideous... but that's why I love them, someone has to!!

AAhh, pastel perfection has come again to Dusk darling style.
1)The first pair are a beautiful white sandal, to be worn with a 50s style sun dress and red toe polish!
2)The second are harking back to my 5 year old self - my mumma always told me Jellies would give me blisters .. and they did.... I didn't care... they were beautiful.. I MUST HAVE.
3) Last off all a cute mint sandal - perfect with a pastel themed outfit, nice for a daytime summer party where you want to dress up but not wear heels!

Rightoh - that's all for now folks! Hope you like my Primark posts? I really love seeing what's in Primark since their website never shows everything. What are you lusting after for Spring/Summer?

LOVEEEEEEEEEEE
